Pariah was a volunteer-run, bilingual video game guild made up of passionate gamers based in North America. We are not associated with Amazon.<\/p> \n

New World is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Amazon Games Orange County and published by Amazon Games, released on September 28, 2021.<\/p> \n

The pilot research project:<\/strong><\/p> \n

From September 2021 to June 2022, this was an online ethnography with active participation in a guild and in the ecosystem where my status as a researcher was not hidden. Over 139 daily reports and hundreds of GB of recordings and screenshots were created, in a total of over 518.7 hours of play.<\/p> \n
