After the LPQ clan (around 2008), I changed games several times (COD2, BF2, WOW). Unable to afford a new PC, I ended up buying an Xbox 360. From then on, gaming was very far down my list of priorities, which led me to drop out of the Quebec communities altogether. It wasn’t until my 2nd year at the Coll\u00e8ge militaire royal de Saint-Jean in the fall of 2010 that I began to take a more active interest in gaming again, when my brother Pawpawz suggested I start a new clan to compete. The scene had changed enormously in two years. It was several months before I had a good PC again, so I took the opportunity to lay the foundations of an organization, called the Clan Bros, which would one day become, after a rebranding, Boreal Gaming, one of the founding members of Boreal eSports.<\/p>\r\n

The clantag<\/em> [BROS] was the tag my brother and I used when we played Call of Duty on the Internet, but split-screen via his living room. The Clan Bros was a big, supportive family where I organized many activities in person: sugar shack, paintball, chalets, LAN Party, etc. Even if fun was the priority, we obviously had teams that competed. Although I played in several leagues, I quickly had to come to terms with the fact that I was much better as a manager. And so the Clan Bros grew from strength to strength. For over six months, we quietly prepared for our change of identity. To stand out from the crowd and be on a par with established organizations such as Armata Gaming and Team Killing Spree, we had to make the biggest wave possible. We chose yellow for continuity with Clan Bros and because red, green and blue were already taken. Our jerseys are designed to be hard to miss. Instead of concentrating all our players and teams in one section of the hall, as organizations usually do, we purposely scattered our teams in small islands all over the two floors of LAN ETS 2014. No matter what angle you looked at, it was possible to see one of the forty or so jerseys we’d ordered. We had players in almost every tournament, including console tournaments where we were among the best. What’s more, members of our recreational community were on hand in their jerseys to join in the fun, make some noise and cheer on our teams. The wave was a tsunami. A rapprochement was made with Armata Gaming, leading to a merger of the two entities. [\/vc_column_text]
