The topic of my thesis is subject to change, but it will be on \u201csupervision of the practice of video games\u201d. Generally speaking, in addition to reading a lot of studies and books on electronic sports and video game communities, I try to keep up to date with the latest news, especially through specialized podcasts. Of course, being also a practitioner, I am directly involved in the field at several levels (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/leonin.ca\/en\/project\/fondation-des-gardiens-virtuels-global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FGV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leonin.ca\/en\/project\/federation-quebecoise-de-sports-global-electroniques\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FQSE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leonin.ca\/en\/project\/uqam-gaming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UG<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leonin.ca\/en\/services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Consultation<\/a>). I\u2019m very active in the academic community related to video games: participation in symposiums (<a href=\"https:\/\/leonin.ca\/en\/portfolio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">portfolio<\/a>), organization of academic activities, active member in several networks and research groups (e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/homoludens.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Homo Ludens<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/arefesport.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AREFE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsresearch.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ERN<\/a>), collaborator in various researches (e.g. Projet-IP), several research assistant contracts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/leoninsavard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(LinkedIn<\/a>), etc.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_icon icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fas fa-flask&#8221; color=&#8221;black&#8221; size=&#8221;lg&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]In preparation for future research related to video games, I am experimenting and learning about a multitude of hardware and programs related to biometric data capture.
